King Saul, in his misguided effort to talk to now dead Samuel led him to seek the help of a witch. At great risk to his safety and that of his kingdom he did everything necessary to “speak to Samuel”. Saul was trying desperately to win back his ex. His ex-prophet, now dead. Sadly as the Bible shared in 1 Samuel chapter 15, it was a relationship that died long before the prophet passed away. When the enemy of souls, completes a mind heist, the results can be utterly mind-blowing. The actions carried out by the victim totally out of line and out of sync with righteous reality. A moral compass pointing every which way…but north. But here’s the kicker.

We are ALL on that spectrum of sin. All of us susceptible to this virus that has infected billions for centuries. In some it results in murder, mass murder or genocide. In others, shoplifting, heisting an ATM for millions or robbing a country’s coffers of billions. We have all come short of Gods standard of righteousness thanks to the growth stunting power of sin. What will you do today to counter its effects? Do you believe in the mind changing, soul transforming power of daily prayer and reading of His word? Though born in sin and shaped in iniquity we all have access to freedom from its eternal effects. Free your mind from satan’s hold. Resist the invasion.
